At risk of this spiraling completely out of control, I bring you another gem from our old friend Miranda. I have done a bit of snooping around teh internets and I still can’t figure out if this woman is completely genuine or if she’s taking us all along for a ride. At any rate, you have to appreciate the intensity she brings to her performances. I’m on the fence as to whether or not I think we should mobilize and send her requests. She seems to be high enough on herself (or maybe just high enough) that she might actually fulfill said requests.

“Convoy” is a 1975 novelty song performed by C. W. McCall (pseudonym of one Bill Fries) that became a number-one hit in the USA (#2 UK) and helped start a worldwide craze for citizens band (CB) radio. The song was the inspiration for the 1978 Sam Peckinpah film Convoy and remains one of the worst tunes ever composed and recorded:

This is not a song but since Caterwaul and Doggrel is dedicated to the worst that the world of music has to offer I feel no qualms about including this video. The star, mirandasings08, gives us a free singing/theory lesson in an effort to boost her private instructor business.

There’s a reason why everyone loves you, Japan. Well, OK, there are a few good qualities of yours that I can name, but things like the following are pretty much the main reason.

Wow. And why stop there? There are two more videos for this song, including one that was made expressly for the song played backwards. (Just look under the original Youtube poster’s account and you’ll find ‘em.)

It all takes me back to this classic.
